I DON’T BELONG TO SATAN! 

SCRIPTURE READING:  JOHN 8:42-47

INTRO:  This is the final message in this month’s series on “I belong”.

I.  CHRISTIANS DON’T BELONG TO SATAN BECAUSE HE IS OUR ARCH

     ENEMY.

    A.  He is faced by every person – Christian or not.  Eph. 6:11-12

    B. Satan is the fourth Person in power in this universe.  Ezekiel 28:12-17;

          Revelation 12; Isaiah 14:12

    C. What is our conception of Satan?

    D. The Bible shows Satan as an angel of light.  II Corinthians 11:14-15

II.  WE DON’T BELONG TO SATAN BECAUSE HIS NATURE IS DIFFERENT.

    A. His true nature is understood by very few.

    B. Satan’s target of deception is Christians.

    C. Satan works through deception in leading us to sin.  Matthew 4:8-9;  

         I. John 4:1-3

III. WE DON’T BELONG TO SATAN BECAUSE HIS NAMES ARE IN DIRECT

      CONTRADICTION TO THE NATURE OF GOD.  (Many different passages)

     A. In the Bible there are over 40 titles and descriptive names of Satan.

     B. Satan’s relationship to the world is revealed in some of his names.

     C. Some of the names given to Satan show what he is like.

     D. If we are not a Christian, then we belong to Satan, and we are assisting

          him in all his actions against God.

CONCLUSION AND INVITATION
