SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 22:34-40

INTRO:  Revival is just one week away.  What will a revival cost?  How much will our investment bring to the church?
I.  REVIVAL BRINGS A NEW CHALLENGE TO A CONGREGATION.            
   A.  Jesus gave us a verse that gets to the heart of revival
         truth.  Matthew 22:37
   B. The goal, the passion, and the longing of revival needs to
        be felt by every member and every one who attends here.
II. REVIVAL BRINGS A NEW PROGRAM TO THE CHURCH.
   A. When we allow God to send a great revival in our hearts then
        it will be a lasting revival that affects every program of the
        church.
    B. If a God-felt revival occurs here, then it will be because the
        church desires it.  Proverbs 29:18
III. REVIVAL BRINGS NEW POWER TO THE CHURCH.
    A. The church of the New Testament was a powerful church.
        Acts 2
    B. The power of the church can be felt today as we look to the
         Holy Spirit’s power to bring revival. Hab. 3:2
IV.  REVIVAL BRINGS NEW PROCEDURES TO THE CHURCH.
     A. Revival will allow God to do what He wants to do in His
          church.  2 Peter 3:9
     B. What are some procedures needed in the church today?
V.  REVIVAL BRINGS A NEW POVERTY TO THE CHURCH.
    A. When true revival occurs in our hearts then we will see all
         that we have is a gift of God.  I Cor. 6:19-20
    B. Our hearts belong to Him!  Matthew 22:37
    C. Our abilities belong to Him.
    D. Our homes and our families belong to Him.
    E. Our possessions belong to God.  Revival will cost something!
