LOOKING BACK AND AHEAD!

SCRIPTURE READING: Deuteronomy 30:15-20

INTRO: 2006 is now behind us! How will this year go down in history for you? For our church it was a tremendous year.

When the Israelites were on the plains of Moab Moses rehearsed all that God had done for them.

I. THE COVENANT – Deuteronomy 29:1-29

A. Moses reminded the Israelites of what God had done

for them. V. 1-8

B. Moses wanted them to keep the Covenant God had

made with them. V. 9-16

C. Moses urges them to obey God so that they will not

experience the curses mentioned. V. 17-29

II. THE CHANGE – Deuteronomy 30:1-10

A. Moses told them that if they fell away and turned to the Lord that God had the power to change their hearts even in captivity. V. 1-6

B. Moses then challenged them to obey the Lord. V. 7-10

III. THE CHOICE – Deuteronomy 30:11-20

A. Moses reminded them where the origin of the commandments. V. 11-14

B. Moses gave them a choice to make as the new land stood before them. V. 15-20
