THE SECRET OF VICTORY
INTRO: Revival is
three weeks away. Let’s prepare for it. Satan is our enemy
and he is about to attack. We must be ready.
A. Judah was being invaded by Moab and Ammon.
B. Jehoshaphat had a choice.
C. When the nations attacked, he trusted in the Lord for the
victory.

D. What was the secret of his victory?
I. SEEKING THE LORD IS THE FORERUNNER OF VICTORY.

A. An enemy was coming and he was afraid to begin with.
B. He “turned his attention to seek the Lord.”
II. DEPENDENCE UPON THE LORD IS THE ATTITUDE FOR
VICTORY. V. 4
A. Leaders trusting God is a good example for us.
B. The spiritual leaders of the church must depend upon God
for victory.
III. PRAYING TO THE LORD IS THE PLEA FOR VICTORY.

A. Jehoshaphat knew he had to pray to God.
B. He recognized that he was powerless before the enemy.
IV. RECOGNIZING THAT THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S IS
ESSENTIAL IN VICTORY.
A. Jehaziel had the Spirit of the Lord come upon him. V. 14
B. He encouraged then to not be afraid. V. 15
V. WORSHIPPING BEFORE THE LORD IS PRAISING THE
VICTOR.
A. He fell down before the Lord. V. 18-19.
B. He simply “worshipped the Lord.”
VI. FAITH IN THE LORD IS ASSURANCE FOR VICTORY.
A. The Levites started a worship service. V. 20
B. They were encouraged to trust God’s prophets for success.
VII. GLADNESS AND REST ARE THE RESULTS OF
VICTORY.
A. If we do what God commands then victory will come. V. 27
B. Peace will also be a result. V. 30
